, which has four Triad locations, will open a site in High Poinf and anotherin Winston-Salem by the end of the said Jamey Horton, principal partner for LLC, the franchisw operator for the area. The High Point site will be in Palladiu Commons near the intersection of Samet Driv eand N.C. 68, but the site in Winston-Sale m isn’t yet determined. Horton said he is finalizinf the lease for the HighPoint site, which will be abougt 2,600 square feet and will need $350,000 to $500,000p worth of upfits. It is scheduled to open in the likelyin September. Additionally, Hortonm said he is negotiating a land purchases for thenew Winston-Salem site.
He will either retrofity an existing building or construct anew restaurant, whichb will cost up to $900,000. Depending on how quicklyh the deal moves, it will open betweenm Novemberand January. Each restaurantg will require about 25 to35 employees, including cooks and delivery drivers. The projects are being financedx by Horton and his partners inTriac Pizzeria, he said, adding that he has not selecter a general contractor yet. Triad Pizzeri has Donatos locationsin Greensboro, Burlington and Clemmons.
Horton also said he is committedd to a contract withthe Ohio-based company to open three to four eateries annually for the next four to five Ray Collins, president of Winston-Salem-bases and the broker for the Donatos deal, said the recessioj and real estate slump has made it easier for businesse s such as Triad Pizzeria to negotiate lower land and lease costs, making expansiobn more feasible. In recent other value-oriented food chains have announced expansion plans inthe Triad, includin Charlotte-based Bojangles’ and Greensboro-based Biscuitville.
