Baptist Hospital East set to open $130 million tower - Business First of Louisville:

The structure features 144 private, inpatient roomx and eight new surgery The project cost anestimate $130 million, including equipment and It was funded througgh government-sponsored bonds, private donations and a $1 milliohn pledge from the Baptist Hospitall East Auxiliary. The first floor includes Park Towere Cafe, which will sell gourmet coffee drinks andother beverages, wraps, salads and sushi. Lab spacwe also will be located on thefirst floor. An outpatient-surgert center will be located on the second floorr anda cancer-care center will be located on the thirfd floor of the facility. The fourt floor will offer palliative care and overfloew space for the canceercare center.
Neuroscience and women's health services will be offeredr on floors fiveand six, and the top two floors will be occupied by orthopedics. Waitinfg rooms on each floor includwe a small kitchen area with a refrigeratorand microwave. Two roomd on each floor are specially equippee forbariatric patients. There also is a ground-floor healing garden and an outdoor garde n area on thesecond floor. The surgeryh center will open in mid-August and patientt rooms on upper floors will be opened in beginning inlate August.
