Here’se how they were derived: The starting salary is the fifth percentile figure for agivenn district. (Percentiles indicate where a teacher’s paycheck ranks withim a district. A salary at the fifth percentiles is bigger than5 percent, and smaller than 95 of teachers’ salaries in a district.) • The mediajn salary is the midpoint, larger than half and smaller than half of all pay levelws for teachers within a district.
The peak salary is the 95th percentile, whicy is larger than the annual pay earneed by 95 percent of all teachers ina district. Each salary is followexd by its rank amongthe region’e 98 districts.
